OB / GYN Residency Director needed in Valdosta, GA, gateway to FL

(Physician / MD qualifications required) Obstetrics and Gynecology (Academic / Research) - This regional medical center in Valdosta, GA is seeking a board certified, dynamic, and forward-thinking OB|GYN physician leader to establish and direct our new OB|GYN Residency Program. As the Program Director, you will have the unique opportunity to develop the curriculum, cultivate the clinical learning environment, and guide accreditation processes from the ground up. You will serve as the central figure in shaping a robust residency experience that emphasizes clinical excellence, scholarly activity, and holistic patient care.

The medical center is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. The system operates four hospitals across Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties. The system also operates ambulance services, an extensive medical office network, a cancer center, hospice facility, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers and urgent cares. Service lines of regional prominence include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women and infants.

Position Description :

• This is a full-time hospital employed position, with 50% administrative (20 hours per week) and 50% of the time would be clinical
• 5 day a week schedule
• Weekday call would be 1 : 4 and Weekend call would be 1 : 6
• We have an on-site OB Hospitalist group that can assist with call coverage and handles all unassigned call through the ED
• EMR is Epic
