PURPOSE :
The Primary purpose of this position is to assist Silver State Schools Credit Union to live out its Mission, "Excellent Member Service and Financial Solutions – For Life," by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members. Develop a highly effective team of employees to their highest potential through coaching and leadership. Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members. A key component of this service is to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution.

SUMMARY :
Under the general direction of the CIO, the AVP of Project Management is responsible to strategically lead and oversee the Credit Union's PMO team, project delivery and continuous improvement efforts. Overseeing the planning, execution, management and reporting of projects that align with the organizations' strategic priorities and performance improvement goals around revenue, cost, contracts, quality and service. Serves as a subject matter expert and internal consultant to help operational leaders build and deploy operational excellence capability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Project Management :
Lead and Manage the Credit Union's PMO team to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.Direct the planning and execution of enterprise projects from intake through delivery, with accountability for meeting timelines, staying within budget, and achieving defined quality standards. Track and report progress using KPIs and contribute to OKRs aligned with organizational goals.Manage the delivery lifecycle including business analysis, functional design, quality assurance, and deployment processes across all higher tier projects.Define, create and enforce project management standards, tools, templates, best practices that support measurable performance. Establish clear accountability for timelines, quality benchmarks and resource utilization across all initiatives.Define, create and enforce common process improvement concepts and templates including but not limited to : baseline assessments, run chart analysis, Pareto analysis, process mapping, cause & effect matrix, and control planning.Act as a liaison between business leaders, IT Teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align project goals and delivery with business needs.Review and report on portfolio health, project status, and risk mitigation strategies to executive leadership.Direct and drive evaluation and selection of third-party software and services and manage vendor relationships.Drive adoption of Agile, hybrid, or traditional methodologies appropriate to the nature of each project or product.Develop budget for the Project Management department.Create clear and attainable project objectives; building / gathering the project requirements / project plan; and managing the constraints of the project : budget, timeline, scope, and quality.Directs organizational business assessment using observation, data metrics, financial statements and uses comparative data to identify improvement opportunities across revenue, cost and quality of service.Leads the synthesizing of findings, recommendations, and key messages into actions and assists the appropriate leaders in developing and implementing solutions.Effectively communicate and collaborate with employees across the organization – from frontline staff to Executive Leadership Team.Deliver consistent and accurate management reporting to accelerate decision making.Work with Leadership Team and Business Owners to identify process improvements.Work with project deployment teams to develop and implement test plans for new products.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Directly supervises employees in the Project Management department, which includes both the Project Management and Business Analysis resources (staff). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Associate's degree in business, or Information Technology field and 5 -8 years related experience preferred or equivalent credit union experience.
OTHER SPECIFIC SKILLS :
Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives, aligning PMO and delivery functions with organizational strategy and member centric goals.
Deep knowledge of portfolio governance, prioritization, budgeting, and execution oversight across complex, cross functional projects.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of leading through influence and building consensus with executive stakeholders, business units, and technology teams.
Thorough knowledge of credit union operations including all products and services and applicable policies and standards preferred. Understanding of government regulations and legal requirements involving credit union and / or banking depository and loan programs. Advanced understanding of complex data processing, PC, network, and technology capabilities. Working knowledge of project management software.
Proficiency in process design / improvement / management skills using proven best practice techniques and methodologies, in addition to skills in data manipulation and analytical analysis to support leaderships decision making process.
