Senior Data Scientist

Saalex  is seeking a Senior Data Scientist  in  St. Inigoes, MD / Norfolk, VA . Saalex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientst to join our dynamic team.

Position Type :  Full-Time / Contingent

Salary :   $80K-$250K (depending on experience)

Work Location :   Hybrid remote / in-office.

Essential Functions :

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with complex datasets, naval maintenance systems, and various data integration tasks.
• This role involves applying advanced data analytics, developing predictive models, and supporting Navy maintenance operations with data-driven insights and solutions.
• The candidate will develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform data into meaningful information including by integrating disparate sources into a unified data set for NAVSEA Maintenance and Systems data.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, heuristic and qualitative techniques, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Address data hygiene issues in both source and composite data associated with Navy PMS. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings within Navy PMS data for fleet, ISEA, and program management office utilization.
• Creates analytic tools, static information sources (reports, graphics, and dashboards), and dynamic information sources.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Required :

Security Clearance :

Full or Interim Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education / Experience :

BA / BS degree in an Computer Science / IT, or Technical discipline and 7 years of experience, OR AA / AS degree and 11 years of experience, OR HS Diploma / GED and 13 years of experience required.
