This position will be based at JB Langley-Eustis, VA

Responsibilities :

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the Air Force Information Network (AFIN), a vital digital communications infrastructure for the Department of the Air Force (DAF). This position is integral in managing and enhancing the AFIN, which provides high-speed, reliable, and secure network solutions across Active-Duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard bases worldwide. The Network Engineer will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation of network systems, contributing to the Warfighter's access to real-time Command and Control (C2) information.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities :

• Plan, design, and evaluate new and existing computer network systems, including LANs, WANs, and intranets.
• Administer and maintain the BMC Remedy AR System server and related systems.
• Oversee the administration and maintenance of F5 Global and Local Traffic Managers.
• Manage and maintain Oracle database Real-Time Application Cluster (RAC) and Grid Control.
• Perform security and maintenance patching on a scheduled basis and conduct quarterly security audits.
• Support the integration and testing of EITSM system upgrades and third-party applications.
• Troubleshoot network issues and provide effective solutions to enhance network performance.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network configurations, processes, and service records.
• Monitor network performance and provide statistics and reports to management.
• Act as a technical liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues as needed.

o Getting Started with BIG-IP DNS
