Salary : The Role :
AsManager, Event Transportation, you will lead the planning and execution of high-profile event transportation programs across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. You are accountable for the full lifecycle of each project,from proposal development and vendor negotiations to on-site delivery and post-event evaluation. Acting as the primary operational contact for clients and suppliers, you ensureGoHammerheadsglobal guest experiencestandardsare consistently met. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and shaping the operational growth ofGoHammerheadsU.S. division.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and delivery of event transportationprograms ;
- Oversee and mentor one direct report and multiple temporary staff during eventperiods;
- Negotiate and manage vehicle supplier relationships, contracts, and service-levelexpectations;
- Own the accuracy of data in the CRM system and ensuretimelyreporting toleadership;
- Build andmaintainrelationships with clients,transfer their goals intooperationalexcellence ;
- Prepare and present financial summaries, proposals, and post-eventreports;
- Collaborate with GHHsoffice in The Netherlandsto align best practices and knowledge transfer.
Pre-eventplanning
Manage procurement process and ensure compliance with regulations and brandstandards;Develop comprehensive transportation plans for each event, including staffing, routing, contingency, andcommunications;Lead internal and external kickoff meetings to define expectations, budgets, anddeliverables;Coordinate signage, uniforms, and branding elements in collaboration withoperations teamOn-siteleadership
Lead on-site teams (staff, vendors, and drivers) toexceedguestexpectations ;Serve as the main client-facing representative on location, resolving challengesproactively ;Monitor performance metrics and make immediate decisions tooptimizeservicedelivery ;Post-eventreview
Conductdebriefsessions with internal teams, vendors, and clients toidentifyimprovements ;Prepare post-event financial summaries and feedbackreports;Contribute to process and template improvements that enhance future event delivery.Qualifications / Skills
Bachelors degree in hospitality, business administration, or event management preferred, but we do encourage people with anyBachelorsdegree toapply;4+ years experiencewithorganizing or producing (sports) events (e.g.NCAA, Minor League, Major League, global tournaments);OR 4+ years experience inAccountManagement or Sales, with an operations / logisticsaspect ;Experiencemanaging budgetsbetweenUSD $250,000and$1,000,000 ;Experience managinga minimum of 2 direct reports or 10 reports in a project / eventteam;Have a valid drivers license and feel comfortabledrivingatbusy (city)destinations;Proficient computer skills including but not limited to :
Excel (you know how to create pivot tables, useVLOOKUP, create budgets)PowerPoint (can effectively prepare presentationswith comprehensive storyline)CRM software (e.g.Salesforce,Airtable)Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on acomputer;Extensive walking and standing for periods greater than 12 hours while atevents;Must be able tolift upto 25 poundsFull-time in-person based in the Charlotte, NC officeRequires flexibility to work long hours and weekends, asneeded;Ability to travel up to30%;Willingand eligible to travel internationally.
