The Role

We’re hiring a

Chief Financial Officer

to join our founding leadership team and help steer Passive into its next phase of growth. This executive will be both a strategic architect and an operational counterweight — partnering with the CEO and CTO to scale the business, shape financial systems, and guide the company through multiple rounds of venture financing.

This is not a maintenance role. It’s a build-from-zero role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, wants meaningful ownership, and sees the opportunity to create a generational consumer product in the Future of Work category.

What You’ll Own

Strategic Finance

Build and own long-range financial models (consumer + B2B revenue streams).

Drive fundraising strategy : deck architecture, investor targeting, due diligence prep, and negotiation.

Partner with the CEO to define pricing strategy, capital allocation, and growth levers across B2C and B2B.

Operational Excellence

Develop scalable financial systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure.

Implement metrics and dashboards across user growth, retention, LTV / CAC, and marketplace economics.

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash management with precision.

Risk, Compliance & Controls

Build a finance function aligned with venture-scale standards.

Ensure compliance with tax, audit, legal, and SOC-related financial requirements.

Implement controls to support enterprise partnerships and future international expansion.

Leadership

Serve as a core thought partner to the founding team.

Build and lead the finance organization as the company scales.

Influence product, pricing, and market strategy through data-backed insight.

What You Bring

8–15+ years in finance, ideally with startup or scale-up experience (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent).

Deep experience with venture fundraising, board reporting, and investor relations.

Strong command of SaaS and consumer economics; marketplace experience is a plus.

Comfort working in lean teams and owning high-impact decisions.

A belief that the hiring landscape is broken — and the ambition to fix it.
