Senior Accountant

Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic and expanding company to hire a senior accountant. This is a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Close activity : Execute and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries, vendor invoice review, job costing, payroll, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
• Reporting : Prepare balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports for internal management and external auditors
• Mergers and acquisitions : Integrate acquisitions into the month-end close process as needed
• Taxes : Coordinate local, state, and federal tax filings with third-party vendors
• Audit : Serve as a key member of the finance team during annual audits
• Team collaboration : Build relationships across finance, operations, and executive teams
• Projects : Participate in cross-functional financial and operational projects
• Implementations : Support ERP and financial systems implementations, including credit card and accounts payable systems
• Financial analysis and strategy : Analyze variances between actuals, budget, and prior year results
• Provide insights on business trends and performance indicators
• Offer recommendations to improve financial outcomes and influence decisions
