About The Position

Description :

Start date is as soon as possible with weekly starts.

Shift is 12 hours, from 1900 to 0730.

Weekend requirement is mandatory.

Float requirements may include rotations within skill set as needed.

This unit has a capacity of 21 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 : 4.

The age groups of patients include adults and geriatric individuals.

Common diagnoses and procedures encountered include CHF, Afib with rapid ventricular response, hypoxia, and shortness of breath.

Post-operative care involves management of patients following cardiac procedures such as CABG and valve surgeries, as well as chest tube management.

Additional procedures may include arterial sheath removal and invasive hemodynamic monitoring.

Assessment activities or therapeutic interventions are performed every 2 to 4 hours, including CHEETAH monitoring.

Common equipment utilized includes Vapotherm for high flow oxygen, arterial lines, IV pumps, wound vacs, chest tubes, and patient-controlled analgesia systems.

Titration of vasoactive drips may include options such as Nicardipine and Nitroglycerin.

Flexibility to float to other units may be required based on patient needs.
