Job Description
SyberJet Aircraft is developing the next- generationSyberVision advanced avionics systemfor high-performance business jets. We are seeking anEmbedded Software Engineerto play a key role in building and refining themapping, geospatial, and graphical interface capabilitieswithin our avionics platform.
This engineer will collaborate directly withsystems engineers, UX / UI designers, pilots, and avionics software teamsto develop high-performance 2D and 3D mapping and visualization software that improves situational awareness and supports advanced flight automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded mapping and geospatial features for the SyberVision avionics software suite.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and flight test teams to build intuitive2D and 3D graphical interfacesfor aviation mapping and terrain visualization.
- Translate stakeholder and pilot feature requests intoclear, certifiable software requirements.
- Help define requirements and architecture for graphical and mapping tools.
- Investigate feasibility and performance tradeoffs for mapping and rendering solutions in compliance withDO-178C and system DAL requirements.
- Support integration, testing, validation, and optimization in embedded real-time systems.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency inC / C++for embedded or real-time systems.Experience withmapping, GIS, geospatial data, or elevation / terrain modeling.Familiarity with common engineering tools : Git, Make, CMake, etc.Experience withLinuxdevelopment environments.B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge ofaviation charts, FAA mapping databases, or synthetic vision systems.Experience withModel-Based Engineeringtools (ANSYS SCADE preferred).Graphics programmingexperience (OpenGL, Vulkan, GPU rendering pipelines).Understanding ofCI / CD pipelinesand automated build / testing frameworks.Experience insafety-critical or DO-178C regulated development environments.Preferred Qualifications :
Previous involvement in aerospace certification processes and standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).Project management experience or certification.What We Offer :
