Job Responsibilities:

The Staff Development Nurse is responsible for coordinating employee health services, nursing education, and orientation programs to ensure staff competency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident care. This role also supports the recruitment and onboarding of licensed nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain employee health records and administer TB screenings, Hepatitis B, and influenza vaccinations
• Coordinate pre-employment physicals and drug screenings
• Track employee illnesses and report information to the Safety Team
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing education, in-services, and competencies
• Manage annual education requirements through Relias and obtain CEU accreditation as needed
• Coordinate and lead New Employee and Nursing Department Orientations
• Assist with the recruitment and hiring of RNs and LPNs
• Ensure compliance with CHI Living Communities, regulatory, and accrediting requirements

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing
• Experience in staff development or nursing education preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
