GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

* Two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.

* Willingness to float to multiple locations.

* Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

* Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

* Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

* Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

* Current BLS.

* Current ACLS, NRP, EFM, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS where required.

* TB, vaccines (i.e., flu).
