Chief Financial Officer

Missouri City seeks a forward-thinking, results-oriented CFO with a proven track record in municipal finance. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional results.

Key qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (a master’s is preferred), at least seven years of public sector finance experience with supervisory roles, and certifications like CPA, CGFO, or CPFO. The CFO will lead a strong team, demonstrating strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.

Experience in budget development, financial reporting, treasury management, and procurement, along with a deep understanding of municipal finance laws and economic development tools, especially in Texas, is essential. The role requires a collaborative leader who can build effective relationships with elected officials, city staff, and external stakeholders while upholding transparency and accountability.
