Databricks Architect – Teradata Migration Specialistt

Infosys is seeking a seasoned Data Bricks Architect-Teradata Migration specialist with deep expertise in migrating legacy Teradata workload to modern cloud-based platforms, specifically the Databricks Lakehouse architecture. This role will lead the end-to-end migration strategy, architecture design, and implementation, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.​​​Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time Hands-on experience in architecting solutions on Azure, Databricks, Spark and Object StoreGood experience in end-to-end implementation of data warehouse and data martsStrong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts of Data Vault, Dimensional modellingHands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, and Unity Catalog Proven track record of migrating workloads from Teradata to Azure Databricks cloud platformPreferred Qualifications:Lead discovery and assessment sessions to evaluate existing Teradata environments Experience in leading and mentoring teamsThe job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
