ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina.

Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM

Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Patient ratios of 1 : 3 or 1 : 4 depending on staffing during night shift

Float within scope to meet facility needs as required

1+ year of recent nursing experience required

First-time travelers accepted

South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact State RN License required

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH (must be American Heart Association certified)

12 hours of orientation provided

Dress code : Solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms

EPIC charting system utilized

Care for pre- and post-operative transplant patients (liver, kidney, kidney / pancreas), nephrology and urology patients

Work with central monitor systems for step-down rooms and telemetry

Manage patients with arterial lines and specialized drips in 5 step-down beds

Skills include blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management

Expected to become proficient in peritoneal dialysis within first 6 months

Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks as guaranteed hours allowance

Hurricane season emergency response team assignment possible June through November

The facility features a 22-bed intermediate PCU / medical-surgical unit specializing in transplant care with advanced monitoring capabilities. The organization offers comprehensive transplant services and encourages specialty certifications in transplant, wound care, and medical-surgical nursing. The facility provides ongoing transplant-specific education and maintains high standards for patient care in a teaching environment.
