Join the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) as a Psychiatrist at the Rockland Psychiatric Center. The role is open to candidates with licensure in New York State; applicants from outside or within State Service can apply.
Pay
Base pay range : $270,356.00 / yr – $283,577.00 / yr. The actual pay depends on experience and will be discussed with the recruiter.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions.
- Create treatment plans, including medication management.
- Obtain and review relevant laboratory tests, consulting with treatment team members as needed.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy.
Minimum Qualifications
Psychiatrist 1 : License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.Psychiatrist 2 : License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.Limited permit option : Licensed in another state or Canada with a current limited permit to practice in New York; must obtain a New York license within one year of appointment.Transfer Opportunity
Eligible after one year of permanent service as Psychiatrist 1, Psychiatrist 2, or Psychiatrist (Children and Youth) for lateral transfer.
