Job Title: RFID Implementation Specialist
Overview: The RFID Implementation Specialist is responsible for overseeing the implementation of both software and hardware RFID solutions. The ideal candidate will understand, document, and implement solution requirements as outlined in project planning, and adjust solutions for optimal success during site installation. Collaboration with Sales, Development, and Project Management teams is essential to develop service delivery actions and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and integrate software and hardware solutions within a customer's infrastructure.
- Test solutions in the customer's environment to ensure configurations meet specified requirements.
- Assist deployment team activities in the field, including site surveys, installation, configuration, validation, software/hardware updates, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on implementation planning, problem management, and risk management.
- Install, configure, test, and validate software and hardware according to the implementation plan.
- Implement new versions and patches of the solution.
- Optimize the solution for performance and efficiency.
- Provide maintenance, problem-solving, and support for implemented systems (2nd level).
- Assist Learning & Development (L&D) in creating technical and internal documentation.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.
- Experience in delivering RFID-based solutions, including printing, tagging, handheld readers, tunnels and portals.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in RFID solutions.
- Strong ability to coordinate and supervise teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in face-to-face customer interactions.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a collaborative team environment.
- Hands-on experience with RFID solutions.
- Knowledge of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Availability to travel up to 50%.
- In office work in Charlotte, NC is required when not traveling.
