Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in Chimayo, NM, this full-time position as an Educational Assistant / Paraprofessional serves students in grades K-12 within a contracted school year from August 5, 2025, through May 29, 2026. The role supports inclusion classrooms and resource / learning centers, primarily focusing on high school and elementary students with profound behavioral, functional, and adaptive needs.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in classrooms serving students with severe disabilities, addressing behavioral challenges and learning needs.
• Support teachers in creating an inclusive and effective learning environment.
• Help students develop foundational skills such as letter recognition and phonics.
• Employ strategies to deescalate challenging behaviors during instruction.
• Participate in additional trainings as required, including CPI or Braille.
