ER RN Job Details – Trenton, NJ Healthcare Jobs

Location : Trenton, NJ 08638 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)

Setting : Emergency Department (ER Float Pool – float to all 4 campuses)

Contract Length : 8 weeks

Start Date : January 20, 2026

Shifts : 12-hour nights

Shifts per Week : 3

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Pay Rate : $83.70 / hr (Estimated weekly : $1,880 - $2,020)

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

EMR : Cerner

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience

Active New Jersey or Compact RN license (required at time of application)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS

Ability to float to all four Emergency Departments as needed

Flu vaccine required (no declinations or exceptions)

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department across multiple Trenton campuses

Float between ERs as needed, including ED Float and ED Holds assignments

Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent conditions

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per clinical protocols

Document all care and patient progress using Cerner EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment in accordance with hospital policies
