Contract Occupational Therapist (Rehabilitation) - 13 Weeks

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services in an inpatient rehabilitation facility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of upper extremity Range of Motion (ROM), Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), Fine Motor Control (FMC), Gross Motor Control (GMC), and balance.
  • Provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessment and retraining, utilizing knowledge of adaptive equipment.
  • Participate in daily huddles and interdisciplinary team conferences for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Active Texas Occupational Therapy license
  • BLS certification
  • Experience with ADL retraining and rehabilitation processes
