EMC LABORATORY SUPERVISOR

We provide the worldwide nuclear industry with products and services to measure the performance of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems and verify compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements. AMS products, training, and services cover a wide range including measurement of dynamic performance of I&C sensors, shutdown rod control system testing, digital I&C equipment qualification, wireless technology implementation, cable testing and troubleshooting, aging management of critical plant equipment, online calibration monitoring of process sensors, computer-aided testing, and development of specialized data acquisition equipment and data analysis systems in support of reactor operation and maintenance.

POSITION TYPE : Full-time

LOCATION : On-site at company headquarters

SALARY RANGE : $105,000 - $135,000 per year plus full package of benefits

JOB OVERVIEW :

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing and electrical / electronic engineering are an integral part of our work to ensure the safe and reliable operations of nuclear facilities. AMS provides several solutions to its customers, including design reviews, EMC qualification testing, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) / Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) site surveys to support equipment upgrades and site-wide implementation of wireless devices. The EMC Laboratory Supervisor will lead the EMC engineering team to success through technical oversight of testing services, research, and day-to-day lab activities. They will supervise the development of test plans, testing and troubleshooting, result analysis, and the preparation of technical documentation according to AMS's Quality Assurance (QA) program. They will also work with other departments, including the software development team, to enhance EMC testing and reporting capabilities.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS :

• A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering and five years of experience in a related field.
• Three or more years of management experience with teams and technical services.
• Experience performing MIL-STD-461 and / or IEC 61000 series of emissions and immunity tests.
• Knowledge of spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, oscilloscopes, RF amplifiers, and vector network analyzers.
• Experience developing EMC test plans and test reports.
• Knowledge of EMC equipment calibrations and measurement uncertainty analysis.
