Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with prior experience in neuroscience research to join our translational neuroscience lab at Wash U in St. Louis. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful, hypothesis-driven work on sleep, stroke recovery, and brain metabolism using small animal models.
Work in the lab includes performing small animal procedures, behavioral testing, processing and analyzing brain tissue using neurochemical and histological techniques, analyzing physiological signals (e.g., EEG / EMG), scoring sleep stages, interpreting results using statistical software, using AI-assisted programming tools or basic scripting (Python / MATLAB) for data handling and visualization, and general lab upkeep.
The ideal candidate is independent, detail-oriented, and ready to build on existing laboratory skills in a collaborative, fast-paced research environment.

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
Salary Range :
Base pay is commensurate with experience.
