Join the Department of Family & Community Medicine at Albany Medical College as a Board Certified / Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician dedicated to residency education. As part of an esteemed residency program, you will engage in an academic primary care practice that emphasizes teaching and mentorship for medical students and residents.

At Albany Family Medicine (Community Care Physicians), you will be part of a dynamic community practice in beautiful upstate New York. This position offers diverse clinical opportunities with privileges at both academic and community teaching hospitals.

Clinical and Educational Expertise : Our faculty excels in a variety of clinical areas including ambulatory primary care, geriatrics, sports medicine, outpatient procedures, inpatient medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine, newborn care, gender-affirming care, opioid use disorder treatment, women’s health (with or without obstetrics), abortion care, and point-of-care ultrasound. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of residents, pharmacists, and integrated behavioral health professionals.

Education is a core component of our mission. Our ACGME accredited 6-6-6 residency program, with osteopathic recognition, is seeking passionate educators for vital roles in medical education. This faculty position is categorized at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher, based on your experience.

In this role, you will mentor and instruct a broad range of learners, from medical students to residents and fellows. We are looking for a compassionate family physician who is enthusiastic about medical education and eager to contribute to curriculum development, provide clinical instruction, and participate in scholarly activities.
