School-Based Behavioral Technician - San Jose, CA

Location : San Jose, CA

Schedule : 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday (school hours)

Duration : 2025-2026 school year

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Technician to join our school-based team in San Jose, CA. This role focuses on supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional needs in an educational setting. You will work closely with teachers, school staff, and other specialists to implement individualized behavior intervention plans and promote positive student outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide direct 1 : 1 or small group behavioral support to students in classroom and school environments.

Implement behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or supervising clinician.

Collect and record data on student progress and behavioral goals.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in interventions.

Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred).

Experience working with children or adolescents in a behavioral or educational setting.

Familiarity with ABA principles and behavior management techniques is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Pay Rate

• $28-$30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
