Project Engineer Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support manufacturing and equipment modification activities within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing engineering projects related to equipment relocation, testing, and validation readiness for the Insulin manufacturing line. The Project Engineer will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Automation, and Facilities teams to ensure projects are completed safely, compliantly, and on schedule.
Project Engineer Responsibilities :
Support engineering activities related to autoclavable stopper arm implementation and offline stopper test station installation and testingLead and support the NVPM relocation project (Area 105B – Insulin Line) , including equipment relocation, reinstallation, and functional testingCoordinate execution of equipment modifications and process changes within GMP manufacturing areasAuthor, review, and support Change Controls in accordance with site and corporate quality systemsCollaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Validation, Automation, and Maintenance teamsTrack project timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies to ensure on-time executionSupport commissioning and testing activities to ensure equipment is fit for intended useEnsure compliance with safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements throughout project executionParticipate in project meetings, document action items, and provide clear status updates to stakeholdersRequirements :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline)2–5 years of engineering experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environmentHands-on experience supporting equipment modifications, relocations, or testing activitiesWorking knowledge of Change Control processes in a GMP environmentStrong ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholdersFamiliarity with manufacturing equipment used in sterile or insulin production environments preferredStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracyOnsite requirement in Indianapolis, INFor US geography, the salary range for this position is shown below. The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
