Position Profile

Manage the operations of the housekeeping staff promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, protection of assets and minimal expenses.

Essential Job Function

• Manage the housekeeping staff; providing open communications, training, coach, and counsel and provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintain open communications with all guests, vendors, and staff members for the best overall performance of the hotel.
• Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
• Issue supplies / goods to staff at beginning of shift in order to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses.
• Investigate, resolve, respond to guest needs, inquiries, comments and / or problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
• Achieve activity goals as established by management and complete all reports and assignments in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Education : High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience : One to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).

Skills and Abilities : Requires working knowledge of Housekeeping and the hotel's services, policies and operations. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
