Whats the Job

As the Machine Learning Researcher in their fast-growing AI group you will be developing Large Language Models (LLMs) to support one of their high-frequency trading teams to develop trading signals and generate Alpha.

You will be designing and implementing LLM training and evaluation pipelines which will include pre-training through fine-tuning and post-training techniques. You will also explore alignment strategies (RLHF DPO bootstrapping etc) to adapt models for particular objectives. You will also be working with embeddings and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to connect models with external knowledge sources.

This role is considered to be very close to the this role you will get to work closely with some of the top Quantitative Researchers and Quantitative Traders in the industry on impactful projects. Your work will also have a very real impact that will influence your growth at the company both professionally and financially.

Requirements

Very strong experience in machine learning reinforcement learning and optimization.

Have a deep understanding of transformer architectures attention mechanisms and model internals.

Strong experience with LLM post-training methods (SFT DPO RLHF reward design).

Expert-level knowledge of Python.

Willingness to work in Miami Florida (5 days a week).

PhD or Masters in a related field.

Finance-related domain experience is not needed but interest in trading and finance is helpful.

Strong interest leveraging Machine Learning modeling to own and make a large impact in a quantitative finance setting.

Location

This role requires you to work out of their Miami office five days a week. They do cover relocation expenses if you are looking to move.
