Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent
Position Summary:The assistant teacher works with the other members of the teaching team to create a positive, productive, professional environment for the children within their classroom. The responsibilities are determined by the job description and needs of the classroom, as identified by the lead teacher and/or administrators.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:Professionalism; Working knowledge of young children’s development and developmentally appropriate practice; On-going desire and pursuit of additional educational training.
Physical Demands:Participate in all activities with children ages birth through five which includes squatting, lifting, sitting on the floor, and standing.

Duties/Responsibilities:The assistant teacher is responsible for aiding the lead teacher in the classroom throughout all daily activities and interactions with children. On-going supervision of children.
