Qualifications, Education, and / or Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school graduation or its equivalent, plus at least one year of experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certification from the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS), including TCIC / NCIC Certifications and Certification on sex offenders registration policy and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and / or Ability

Court documents; local, state, and federal laws relating to operation of Sheriffs office; TCIC / NCIC system and procedures; Office policies and procedures; and standard office practices and procedures.

Operate computers; organize and prioritize tasks to be performed; read manuals, letters, and memos; write letters and memos; perform basic mathematical calculations; interpret policies and procedures; analyze information; work independently and make sound judgments; operate office equipment, such as copy machine and facsimile machine; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
