Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Permanent Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in the Accounting and Finance industry and offers an exciting opportunity to take part in the design and development of cutting-edge financial software solutions. You will be part of a highly collaborative team, contributing to the ongoing evolution of our company's software systems and services. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in DevOps and a passion for technology, coupled with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the finance and accounting industry.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions in the accounting and finance domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Provide leadership to junior engineers, including code reviews, guidance on best practices, and technical direction.
  • Engage in system performance optimization and scalability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional and efficient software solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in DevOps.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing software solutions in the accounting and finance industry.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and deployment strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of secure, stable software design.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complexities and how components connect and relate to each other.
