Engineering Manager

About the role

Chime is looking for an engineering leader to help manage and guide one of the technology teams. Our mission is to make access to your money fast reliable and easy enabled by building software to power features like Instant Transfers Mobile Check Deposit and Direct Deposits through integrations between third parties our core applications and dedicated money movement service.

This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $176490 and up to $245100. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus competitive equity package and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher depending on your location skills qualifications and experience.

In this role you can expect to

• Work closely with our engineering leaders to ensure engineering efficiency and guide the team through a path forward to improve and scale delivery. Ensure that technical decisions support our quality performance scalability reliability availability and security goals.
• Design develop test and scale new and existing consumer product features.
• Build lead and hire a high-calibre team of software engineers to solve these problems while being hands on.
• Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
• Establish a sense of urgency and direction set expectations with team and individuals. Establish team objectives in alignment with business goals.
• Work very closely with the Product Managers to launch solutions for the users.
• Contribute to overall engineering initiatives as a member of Chimes engineering leadership team.
