Position Details :

Patient Population : Adult General Acute Care (includes Stroke CT s, ICU, ED)

Setting : Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital; may include outpatient Building 4

Responsibilities : Hospital coverage for IR needs, Stroke CT s, other procedures; possible outpatient coverage for contrasted CT s, MRI s, breast biopsies

Required Procedures : Lumbar punctures, barium studies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters; biopsies (thyroid, lung, other); various centesis exams with drains; CT / US biopsies preferred

EMR System : Cerner

Support Staff : Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) nurses & techs; large Radiology group for overflow / after-hours reads

Days Per Month : As needed 3-day coverage for this opening

On-Call / Weekends : Yes night call required, rarely called during week; weekend requirement applies

Submission Requirements :

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Required
• Active California medical license Required
• Completion of Residency / Fellowship Required
• BLS, DEA, and CA Fluoroscopy certificate Required at submission
• Malpractice history Clean preferred
• Availability at time of name clear Required
