Role Overview
We are seeking a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist to join our Prior Authorization team and deliver exceptional service to patients and partners. This is a fully onsite role in Robinson Township, Pittsburgh.
Responsibilities
- Initiate new prior authorization requests with providers
- Identify correct prior authorization forms for patient insurance
- Coordinate with prescribers and medical offices to complete forms
- Follow up on prior authorization status with medical offices
- Communicate updates to patients and providers
- Handle appeals and respond to internal inquiries related to prior authorizations
