Position Description : The Tier 1 HVAC Apprentice learns the foundational principles of HVAC systems, assisting senior technicians in maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of HVAC systems. Apprentices develop basic technical skills, including voltage and amperage reading, basic maintenance, and use of diagnostic tools.

\tBasic refrigeration cycle and application

\tVoltage reading

\tAmperage reading

\tBasic maintenance

\tBasic electric

\tSafety and safety equipment videos

\tProper work attire

\tHow to use basic hand tools

\tHow to use basic functions of a multi-meter

\tHow to use a refrigerant manifold gauge

\tHow to read PT chart and understanding refrigerants types

\tBe able to identify refrigeration components

\tProper use of basic hand tools

Requirements :

Minimum age of 18 years old

High school diploma or equivalent.

A strong interest in learning about HVAC equipment repair

Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (training will be provided)

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting equipment, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces)

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

A valid drivers license and reliable transportation (some travel may be required)

Ability to lift 50 70 pounds

Willingness to commit to completing the apprenticeship program and pursuing a career in the trade
