When you join KeHE, youre becoming part of a team that is a force for good. / ph3Primary Responsibilities / h3pThe Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing distribution center operations across multiple sites by applying their expertise of Red Prairie / JDA / Blue Yonder Labor Management, time studies, AutoCAD, and Lean engineering principles. This role will play a critical part in improving efficiency, reducing operational costs, and enhancing overall performance within our distribution network. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHEs Mission, Vision, and Values. / ph3Essential Functions / h3pstrongDUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : / strong / pulliDevelops and implements labor standards, accurate labor forecasting, performance tracking, and workforce optimization by utilizing Blue Yonder or other labor management software. / liliConducts time studies to establish accurate baseline data for operational processes and identifies areas for improvement and efficiency gains. / liliUtilizes AutoCAD software to design and layout efficient distribution center floor plans to optimize space utilization and flow of materials. / liliMaintains Engineered Labor Standards through the following processes : / liulliDevelops engineered labor standards for new processes and facilities. / liliConducts time studies to update and validate engineered / RE standards (MSD / PST / MOST). / liliManages existing standards and periodically verify standards and observation methods. / liliIdentifies and implements improvements in preferred methods, procedures, equipment, or workflows. / liliConducts supervisor and employee meetings to review enhancements to procedures, equipment, and / or standards. / liliMaintains LMS by ensuring any changes to existing standards or new standards are accurate and updated. / liliMaintains complete records of all time studies or other data used to change standards. / liliMaintains Labor Standards to reflect changes in preferred methods, equipment, or standards. / li / ulliStays up to date with industry trends and best practices in distribution and process engineering to proactively identify innovative solutions. / liliOther duties and projects as assigned. / li / ulpstrongSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES : / strong / pulliAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and written. / liliProficiency in using JDA / Blue Yonder Labor Management software for labor forecasting, scheduling, and performance management. / liliStrong knowledge in conducting time studies, process analysis, and workflow optimization. / liliAdvanced skills in AutoCAD for creating efficient distribution center layouts and floor plans. / liliKnowledge of Lean principles and experience implementing Lean projects. / liliAbility to manage and lead projects across multiple locations ensuring consistent implementation and successful outcomes. / liliExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills. / liliStrong interpersonal skills. / liliAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. / liliProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Access). / liliAbility to travel 25%-70% required with periodic, multi-state travel which may include transport by airplane, rail, rental, or personal motor vehicle. / liliAbility to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously. / liliAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment. / li / ulh3Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude / h3pstrongEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : / strong / pulliBachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. / liliMinimum of 4+ years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on JDA Labor Management, time studies, AutoCAD, and Lean engineering principles. / li / ululliLean training and / or certification preferred. / li / ulpstrongPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : / strong / pulliWork performed is typically performed in a temperature-controlled environment. / liliMust sit, stand, or walk for extended periods. / liliMay spend long periods at a desk or computer terminal. / liliMay use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment during workday. / liliStooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties. / liliWork is fast paced; occasional evening and weekend work may be required. / li / ulpEqual Employer Opportunity Statement : KeHE Distributors provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits all forms of discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, religion or faith, sex, gender, age, ancestry, national origin, mental or physical disability or medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other category protected under federal, state, or local law.
