Urgent Team is seeking dedicated and experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to enhance our healthcare team.
JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will conduct x-ray testing by applying your knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop films, and prepare exam rooms with the necessary equipment and supplies. Additionally, you will perform Medical Assistant duties to support patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Welcoming patients promptly in various settings, including waiting areas and exam rooms.
- Communicating effectively with patients regarding wait times and next steps in their treatment.
- Identifying and addressing patient issues, seeking assistance in emergencies.
- Making follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction and care continuity.
- Supporting front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out processes as needed.
- Gathering and accurately documenting patient vital signs, medical history, family and social history, current medications, allergies, and other relevant information.
- Assisting with patient transfers and procedures under the provider’s supervision.
- Completing all required documentation related to patient visits accurately and timely.
- Executing radiology procedures promptly for evaluation and treatment by physicians.
- Performing quality control checks to maintain high standards in radiology exams.
- Preparing patients for procedures while adhering to safety and clinical regulations, including applying proper radiation protection techniques.
- Ensuring equipment is kept in optimal working order and reporting malfunctions to the Manager or provider.
- Continuously updating diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through ongoing educational resources.
- Maintaining current licensure and certification needed for operating facility radiology equipment.
WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time staff will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every other weekend. PRN team members will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
To be successful in this position, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
- AR State X-Ray License.
- Preferred ARRT Certification.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous.
