[job_card.job_description]A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) or equivalent is required Active State license in good standing, DEA license and other state credentials as required PLIT Insurance 2 + years' experience in general medicine and surgery The ability to multi-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability. Have exemplary listening and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills. Is comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals, utilizing a team-oriented environment. Is passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus. Computer skills - Comfortably and confidently uses a computer and PIMS software A genuine passion for providing care that aligns with the team's values and mission. Standing or walking up to 80% per shift. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Frequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift. Rarely lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift. Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.

Chewy Vet Care is seeking Relief Veterinarians to complete and support staffing / coverage needs at our hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and have a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude. Excellent client communication and high-quality medicine is required.
What Will You Do?
- Engage with the care team to deliver an unparalleled client experience.
- Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic / medical / surgical / dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
- Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
- Maintain client / patient medical / surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
