Server Position

We're looking for an enthusiastic and personable Server to join our team at our vibrant, elevated Mexican restaurant in Virginia Highlands. In this role, you'll create memorable dining experiences for guests while serving up delicious authentic Mexican cuisine in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Greet and seat guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude
• Present menus, answer questions about dishes, and make recommendations
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring accuracy
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Process payments and thank guests for their visit

Family-Focused Service

• Provide patient, attentive service to families with children
• Assist with high chairs, booster seats, and children's menus
• Help create a fun, comfortable environment for guests of all ages
• Handle special requests with flexibility and a positive attitude

Team Collaboration

• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff, hosts, and fellow servers
• Assist with side work including restocking, cleaning, and setup
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and service stations
• Support teammates during busy periods

Food Safety & Standards

• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
• Handle food and beverages safely and hygienically

Qualifications

Required:

• 2 years of casual high volume restaurant serving experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong multitasking abilities
• Positive attitude and team-player mentality
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Weekend and evening availability
