Job Description

Primary Tasks

• Ticket handling - Providing remote hands assistance with trouble resolution and provisioning to clients as required.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues - provide hardware assistance and problem resolution; troubleshoot client problems, repairs, servers.
• Hardware - Racking, stacking, and troubleshooting Server Hardware.
• Cabling - Installing cables, labeling connections to data center and customer equipment.
• Utilize Fluke tester for provisioning and troubleshooting.
• Must be familiar with CAT-6, Fiber - Single Mode and Multimode - and their connector types.
• Ability to install (rack / stack / cable / basis configuration ie : ILO) server hardware platforms and related equipment.
• Database / Documentation - Thoroughly document the ticket logs when performing any work.
• Update inventories, work with multiple ticketing and database systems.
• Ability to review supporting documentation for operations and installation of hardware.

• Perform daily security walk throughs.
• Shipping / receiving duties may be required.

Skills and Qualifications

Work Environment - Work in room with continuous computer equipment noise. May bend, stoop, sit and / or walk for long periods of time. Color perception is necessary to perform certain critical aspects of this job.
