Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Under limited supervision from production supervisor, oversees duties associated with weighing and blending operations.
- Verifies process compliance with batch record guidelines; ensures operator quality monitoring and inspection activities are being performed.
- Completes or oversees the accurate completion of required paperwork and documentation, including production batch records, hours accounting, BaaN reporting, and schedules.
- Trouble shoots equipment and processing problems; works closely with maintenance mechanics and QA. Provides training in SOP's related to process technologies as directed.
- Provides support, direction and coaching to process operators in areas of training, problem resolution, planning, and work assignment completion.
- Responsible for guaranteeing cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
- Responsible for ensuring safety of work area, and enforcing safety procedures.
- Ensures job deadlines and performance standards (for quality, productivity, reliability, initiative, safety, and work relationships) are met for all process operators.
- Carries out all responsibilities in compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws. Fully complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) and health and safety regulations
Qualifications
Required : High school diploma or GED; good communication, training and leadership skills; mechanical ability.A minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of processing methods and procedures, cGMP's, FDA, OSHA, and all regulatory requirements, as well as NAI SOP's and process documentation.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Completed NAI training for Process Lead.Preferred : A.A. degree and computer competency with MS Office and MRP (e.g., BaaN) software. Previous supervisory experience.Work Environment
Mainly blending and weighing area of manufacturing facility where exposed to large blenders, moving mechanical parts, forklifts, heavy pallets, moderate to loud noise level, and air-borne dust and powders. While working, will be required to wear various personal protective equipment (e.g. safety shoes, eye and / or hearing protection).Benefits :
