Department : Secondary Job Description Title : Computer Application Teacher Job Summary : The High School Computer Applications Teacher at Midland Christian School will provide instruction in computer applications, technology skills, and digital literacy to students in grades 9–12. This role focuses on preparing students for college, careers, and life through practical technology skills, problem-solving, and responsible digital citizenship within a Christ-centered learning environment.Lines of Authority : Reports to the Secondary Principal Education : Bachelor’s Degree RequiredRequired Personal Qualities :

Curriculum Development :Develop and implement computer applications curriculum aligned with the school’s faith-based mission and academic objectivesPlan engaging, age-appropriate lessons that prepare students for college and career readinessIntegrate Biblical principles, ethical technology use, and character education into instructionClassroom Management :Establish a positive and inclusive learning environmentEncourage responsible technology use and digital citizenship.Foster collaboration, teamwork, and respect among studentsInstruction and Assessment :Instruct students in computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, internet research, and digital communicationTeach keyboarding proficiency, digital safety, and responsible use of technologyIntroduce foundational concepts in coding, data management, and emerging technologies as appropriateProvide constructive feedback and assess student progressDifferentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needsSpiritual DevelopmentModel Christ-like behavior and values through actions and interactions with students.
