Senior Patriot Program Quality Lead

The Senior Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS), will support European and / or other foreign programs within the portfolio and work as an on-site employee at our Tewksbury, MA location. Responsibilities include promoting and executing with a quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. This individual will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts. The successful candidate will proactively engage with the product line and work in partnership with Program Leadership, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Operations and the Quality team. These roles will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs, and occasionally interface with U.S. Government Customers, Foreign Customers, and Suppliers. In this role you will proactively engage across our factories and suppliers for the Global Patriot portfolio, implement quality processes to reduce overall product lifecycle cost and risk.
This is an on-site position in Tewksbury, MA.
What You Will Do :
- Interface with the program quality teams, programs, customers, and the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working through technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
- Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
- Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders, as it is vital to the success of this role.
- Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
- Developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs' implementation and influence.
- Improving processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and information is typically difficult to obtain.
- Assuring inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
- Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
- Drive EAC savings, program risk reduction and opportunity capture, cost reductions, schedule (cycle time) and quality improvements utilizing CORE.
- Implement APQP as applicable.
Qualifications You Must Have :
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of engineering experience.Working experience with ISO 9001 and / or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and / or design processes.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer :
Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.Active U.S. security clearance.Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management processes.Experience in other functional areas such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations.Experience establishing cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).Experience using verbal and written communication and networking skills to work with upper management and customers.Hands-on experience in solving both business and technical problems.Experienced team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.Experience as a leader.Experience with contract flow and compliance.What We Offer :
