What this job involves :

The Controls Engineer BMS Systems is responsible for overseeing the operation maintenance and optimization of building management systems across multiple facilities of Bonneville Power Administration (Client). The candidate would study the current BMS design architecture and provide monitoring and maintenance of the system. The Controls Technician would work with mechanical and electrical personnel to ensure the safe and reliable operation of HVAC and other systems. They will also work towards improving BMS efficiency towards the enhanced sustainability quotient and reduce financial impact of operations. They would also act as SME for HVAC lighting access control and energy management systems.

What your day-to-day will look like :

Lead BMS operations by monitoring and optimizing building automation systems across multiple facilities ensuring peak performance of HVAC lighting access control and energy management systems

Drive system improvements through data analysis and performance monitoring implementing energy efficiency strategies that deliver measurable cost reductions and sustainability enhancements

Provide technical expertise on BMS architecture configuration programming and commissioning while serving as the subject matter expert for complex automation challenges

Manage system maintenance by troubleshooting issues coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors and ensuring minimal downtime through proactive maintenance strategies

Oversee system upgrades and compliance by planning expansions and integrations maintaining documentation training staff and ensuring adherence to building codes and safety standards

Collaborate on asset-related projects by supporting facility infrastructure improvements asset lifecycle management initiatives and capital project implementations that enhance building performance and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications and Skills :

3 years of experience in building automation systems management

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems electrical systems lighting systems and energy management principles

Proficiency in BMS software platforms (e.g. Honeywell Schneider Electric Siemens Johnson Controls)

Valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering

Experience with data analytics and visualization tools

Knowledge of IoT and smart building technologies

Project management experience

Relevant certifications (e.g. CBCP CEM) preferred

Shift : Monday to Friday- Day shift

Estimated compensation for this position :

91600..00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications location market conditions and internal considerations.
