As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment within a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to provide reassurance to those on site. You will also deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Pay Rate : $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeSat 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
  • Monitor and control access of personnel, visitors, and vehicles to the location, verifying credentials and logging information as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel or authorities if necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and / or activities.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and observations while on duty.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client staff to address security-related concerns and support emergency response activities as outlined in site protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
