We are seeking compassionate and committed Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide outstanding patient care.
JOB SUMMARY :
As a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be integral in offering comprehensive medical care to individuals of all ages dealing with a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, your role will encompass diagnosing, treating, and educating patients, all while upholding the highest clinical standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Provide friendly, accessible care to all individuals seeking health services.
- Lead and support during emergencies, maintaining a calming presence for patients.
- Adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment with variable hours and continuous engagement with others.
- Conduct medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for various healthcare scenarios, including primary care and urgent care.
- Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, pap tests, and injections.
- Establish and monitor appropriate care levels for patients.
- Support onsite laboratory and imaging services as necessary.
- Maintain clinical expertise and core competencies.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to align with medical policies and standards of care.
- Participate in the development and revision of medical practice policies to enhance quality and patient satisfaction.
- Assist in in-service and continuing education programs for team members.
- Offer recommendations for growth and development of services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant medical licensing and accreditation standards.
- Engage in the development of educational programs for staff.
- Represent Physicians Care at various internal and external events as necessary.
- Guide other medical staff to ensure high-quality services and patient satisfaction.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is preferred.Active state license as an APRN or PA.Current FNP or PA-C Board Certification.Current DEA license or eligibility to obtain upon hire.Current DOT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.Current BLS certification.WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Our full-time team works a rotating schedule of 30-40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. PRN team members are scheduled as needed.

With 11 locations throughout Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, Physicians Care is affiliated with Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our walk-in centers provide a range of healthcare services including treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week : Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All Physicians Care centers are Accredited Care Centers, demonstrating our commitment to safety, quality, and service.
