Responsibilities

Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Surgery - Macon, GA

Piedmont Heart Institute is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiac team in Macon, GA.

This role will provide excellent patient care to our surgical patients.

This is a PRN / as needed opportunity and includes both weekday, weekend, and night call requirements. (a four-day work week with some weekend coverage and an average of one night of call per week.)

In this role you will :

• Round on postop patients
• First assist on all cardiac cases
• See inpatient consults
• Call / round is 1 : 3 weekends
• Manage ICU patients
• Opportunity exists to also participate in (Provide) office consults with (one day per week with a designated) surgeons
• EVH and chest closure in the OR
• Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have 2-5 (1-2) years of cardiac surgery / EVH experience.

Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification

Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
