Tax Director

Our client is currently seeking a Tax Director to lead the organization’s tax preparation and advisory services. This role involves overseeing the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations, and providing strategic tax advice to clients and senior management relating to advisory services, forensics, and long‑term tax planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax planning and be adept at navigating complex tax issues.

Key Responsibilities :

• Tax Preparation : Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
• Tax Advisory Services : Provide expert tax advice to clients and internal stakeholders on tax planning strategies, including deductions, credits, and compliance issues to minimize liabilities.
• Client Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored tax solutions. Conduct client meetings and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Regulatory Compliance : Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring that the organization and its clients remain compliant. Develop strategies to adapt to new tax regulations.
• Audit Support : Lead the response to tax audits and inquiries, collaborating with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary to resolve issues.
• Research and Analysis : Conduct thorough research on complex tax matters and prepare detailed analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Team Leadership : Manage and mentor the tax preparation team, fostering a collaborative environment. Provide training and guidance to enhance team capabilities.
• Reporting : Prepare and present comprehensive tax reports to senior management and clients, providing insights into tax positions and strategies.

Qualifications :

Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
