Duties Include : Accountability : Reporting to the Chief, Urology Surgery Section, responsible for clinical / surgical care delivery across the medical center while surpassing compliance standards. Guidance : Provides leadership to interns, residents / fellows, medical students, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Eligible for a clinical appointment at Wake Forest University. Patient Care : Offers compassionate, appropriate, and effective patient care promoting health, preventing illness, treating disease, and providing end-of-life care. Provides training and direction to support staff. Requirements : Citizenship : U.S. Citizenship required. Non-citizens only considered when recruiting qualified citizens is impossible, per VA Policy. Education : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine. Licensure : Current, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. Residency : Completion of an accredited residency program in a core specialty. Board Certification : Must be board-certified or board-eligible. Benefits : Competitive Salary : $320,000-$400,000 per year. Paid Time Off : 50-55 days annually (including annual, sick leave, Federal holidays, and possible CME absence).
