Senior Corporate Tax Manager & a Corporate Tax Manager

Chicago, IL 60601 - Hybrid - 2 days in office

ARC Group is actively recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly respected leader in tax advisory and assurance services, for a Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Corporate Tax Manager to join their growing team in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least two days per week onsite at the downtown Chicago office.

In this role, you'll be a key member of the Corporate Tax Solutions Team, leading corporate tax compliance, ASC 740 income tax provision projects, and strategic tax consulting engagements. You'll work with a range of high-profile clients across industries and collaborate with internal tax experts, including those from the Washington National Tax Office (WNTO).

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage end-to-end corporate tax engagements including planning, execution, budgeting, and delivery.

Review and manage the preparation of complex corporate tax returns.

Oversee and conduct ASC 740 income tax provision projects (preparation and audit support).

Supervise and mentor tax associates and senior associates; provide training and performance feedback.

Collaborate with clients to understand operations, business objectives, and identify tax planning opportunities.

Respond to IRS, state, and local tax inquiries and audits.

Identify opportunities to cross-sell services and enhance client relationships.

Utilize tax software such as OneSource Tax Provision for return preparation and provision work.

Maintain highest standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and client service.

Required Qualifications :

CPA required (or JD with active law license).

47+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax compliance and consulting.

Proven ASC 740 tax provision experience (either preparation or audit support).

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate tax law.

Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (preferred).

Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.

Must be local to the Chicago area and able to work onsite 2 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications :

Public accounting or Big 4 experience.

Exposure to transfer pricing, state / local taxation, and international tax.
