Account Manager Opportunity

Be part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services by developing strategic accounts with the Fortune 1000. This is an opportunity to be a driver in AWS's further representation as a key technology platform provider. As an Account Manager you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include driving revenue, adoption, and market saturation in Enterprise accounts, with a large emphasis on accounts with high growth potential. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. They should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.

Due to updated territory planning, we are targeting candidates in Denver or Phoenix only. Candidates must be located in that greater area in order to be in the field with customers and utilize our office space when needed. We cannot offer other locations at this time.

Key job responsibilities :

  • Drive digital transformation through meaningful engagement with C-level executives, IT leaders, architects, developers, and various lines of businesses of your customers.
  • Represent the entire portfolio of AWS products and services across the strategic accounts you manage within the Enterprise customer market segment.
  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute against a comprehensive account / territory plan.
  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
  • Accelerate customer adoption.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.
  • Manage contract negotiations.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering / consulting or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience in technology sales selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services
  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The Colorado base pay for this position ranges from $92,400 / year up to $160,000 / year. The National base pay for this position ranges from $83,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
