[job_card.job_description]Provides basic patient care. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse. Provides general nursing care and routine treatment / procedures. Facilitates processing of patients Provides clerical receptionist support Provides Coordinating Support Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department High School diploma or equivalent GED. Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Compensation / Benefits
- $13.21-$21.58 / hr based on previous work experience.
- Evening differential $1.50 / hr.
- Night differential $1.75 / hr.
- Weekend differential $1.75 / hr.

Our 5TA Medical team provides medical / surgical care to adult populations with a wide variety of complex medical conditions. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patients. Our unit consists of 16 med / surg tele beds and provides post-op colorectal surgical care.
